During SOMACC’s temporary closure due to the global pandemic, messages of gratitude and appreciation from our children and families poured in in celebration of Teacher’s Appreciation Day.
After an extensive search and selection process since spring of 2019, the South of Market Child Care Inc. (SOMACC) Board of Directors selected one of our organization's own, Jennifer De Palm, to take up the torch as the new SOMACC Executive Director.
To support their practice in the Reggio Emilia Approach, seven of our preschool teachers from the Judith Baker Child Development Center (JB CDC) and Yerba Buena Gardens Child Development Center (YBG CDC) participated in a two-day learning tour at the First Presbyterian School in Santa Monica, CA.
