MEALS

We provide healthy breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack in accordance to the United State Department of Agriculture (USDA) nutritional standards. Our meals and snacks feature food that is locally sourced, hormone free, antibiotic free and has lean protein. Foods are free from artificial preservatives, coloring, flavoring and sweeteners, and does not use high fructose corn syrup. Our meals are low fat and low sodium and include a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables.  All meals are prepared daily and from scratch. Our goal is to serve foods that are culturally familiar to our children.

Currently, Chefables Catering is providing our daily meals. They offer a variety of menu options and allergy-friendly meals that are custom designed based on the individual child’s needs.

Our menu rotates monthly and can also be custom designed based on individual child’s needs. Daily meals are served in a family style environment and parents are encouraged to join during meal times.

We provide formula and organic baby food for our infants. We welcome nursing mothers and breastfeeding in our Infant Program.

SOMACC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

SOMACC is committed to equity, inclusion, and supporting socio-economic diversity in our school and community

We offer a limited number of need-based scholarship to currently enrolled families to ensure that their children have uninterrupted access to SOMACC’s exemplary early care and education services. The amount of tuition assistance awarded is based on the family’s financial situation and the availability of funds acquired from SOMACC’s annual fund development activities.

Despite our commitment to providing tuition assistance to qualifying families, the number of applicants each year typically exceeds SOMACC’s allocated funds for this purpose. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that all applicants who qualify will receive support.

All scholarship families are expected to maintain a high profile in the school and set example of leadership and involvement for other families. Participation in the Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) is highly encouraged.
