Transbay Child Development Center (TB CDC) Opened in Dec. 2019
A grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting ceremony was held on December 4, 2019 with Mayor London Breed, Board President Norman Yee, Supervisor Matt Haney, Mrs. Mimi Haas of the Mimi and Peter Haas Fund and OECE Executive Director Ingrid Mezquita.

Environment
Our environment has been designed to be consistent with our educational philosophies, the Reggio Emilia Approach and Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE), and are tailored to promote the development of children’s vital skills needed to reach their full potential in school and in life.
There are three classrooms, a Piazza (area where the school community can come together), an Atelier (studio area where children can engage in long-term projects), work spaces to encourage individual and group play and learning, and an outdoor garden/play area designed with nature in mind.
